Today

From Grandma Lillian

This is the beginning of a new day.
God has given me this day to use as I will.
I can waste it or use it for good.
What I do today is important because
I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever.
Leaving something in its place that
I have traded for it.

I want it to be good, not evil, success, not failure.
In order that I may not forget the
price I paid for it.

I love this, Jenny!
I copied it down, that's how much meaning it has for me.
Thank you for sharing it!

This is what it all comes down to, after all the running around, trying to squeeze 30 hours into a 24 hour day; after all our worldly concerns are our main thoughts; no, it all comes down to the fact that what you have written here is really the truth. When you take a step back, this is it. Thanks, Jenny. Wise words, indeed.
