It's the Little things that really count!

Isn't it those little unimportant things that make all the difference anyway?

I've been tagged.

I don't remember how I found her but I love everydayMOM. Go here. She is a fantastic writer and wonderful mother of 3.2 children (of course that number will change over the next 6-7 months!) everydayMOM tagged me.

The game goes as follows:

* List Six Unimportant Things That Make You Happy
* Mention and link to the person who tagged you
* Tag six of your favorite bloggers to play along

Unimportant Things That Make Me Happy

1. Being able to wear my contact lenses after 2 weeks of severe allergies. (Thank you rain!)
2. Sunshine. (Yeah, I'm a contradiction to the core.)
3. Surprise cleaning done by a child.
4. Climbing a hill (any size) on my bike without stopping or dying.
5. Food (I know that seems pretty important. But not when it comes to the content and amounts that I wish for.)
6. My kids wanting to spend time with me. (and liking it)

What makes you happy?
Romper Bomper Stomper Boo, Tell Me Tell Me Tell Me Do, Have all my friends had fun at play? I see:

Linda
Anna Lisa
Brittany
Jacy
Ryan Ashley
Jenna
Heather

What? It's like a bakers dozen! Seven for the price of six!

And for an extra special treat... Dawn! (Hi Mom! Since you don't have a blog, will you please put yours in the comments?)

I can't wait to find out what little things make a difference for you!

All right: Blogs by my family, a compliment, being a grandmother, Lindt dark (black wrapper) chocolate truffles, things that make me smile privately, and the sun shining with no wind or clouds and warm enough to eat or just read out on the deck! One to grow on: really cute and special photos very old to very new!!

P. S. I love how you tie in things from your childhood -- stories, tv shows, etc., that remind me of what you loved as a little girl!! (Even if you can't remember where "I think I'll take just 40 winks" came from!)

Neat to see what makes you happy. This week-contra dancing with my girls makes me happy.

Getting a coke zero from the 25 cent machine, going for a bike ride in short and a shirt, a nap on the couch on Saturday afternoon, when Jenny laughs at my dumb jokes, walking in the house after a really tough bike ride.

Awww, thanks for tagging me, Jenny! And I thought I was the only one who did the "romper stomper bomper boo" thing!

Awwww. Thanks Jenny! That was such a nice plug. You are such a good encourager and have a wonderful way with words!

Anyway... despite all of my complaining about the rain in Chicago, I am SOOOO with you on the allergies! It stopped raining for a couple of days here and mine went nuts! That's when I was so happy that the rain came back and decided it's not so bad living in Seattle after all.

Thanks for going along with the tag. =]

I loved your list of items but that list of unimportant things looked pretty important to me! :-)

You know what I just realized? When I look at the picture you have here on top of Mike's bike against the field of tulips, you and probably everyone else here looks at the flowers. I just realized I keep checking out the bike only. LOL! Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, all right!
